_Who it's for_

## Project dependencies belong in the crew schedule.

Electrical and commissioning crews depend on work other teams finish first. Planners need those dependencies before moving dates, and project managers need progress back from site.

_How it runs_

## Solar field work, from planning to closeout.

_[ 01 ]_

### Site scope and milestones

Each job carries its site, zone, phase and milestone context, alongside the work to be done.

_Illustration: A Skedulo job panel for JOB-4821, an inverter replacement on unit 2, Wed 13 Aug, 2:00 - 3:30 PM, Gloria Benitez en route. Its details are open: a system service to swap the failed inverter, recommission it and verify export, urgency Normal, for the account Sunline Energy Co-op; resources and tasks folded below._

_[ 02 ]_

### Site readiness

Qualifications, access, equipment and prior work inform the plan. Project and safety teams confirm whether work can proceed.

_Illustration: A Skedulo mobile checklist card, Hazards identified: live electrical equipment, working at height, confined space and manual handling, with live electrical equipment and confined space ticked in turn, a Mobile AI spark landing beside each answer it filled in_

_[ 03 ]_

### Crew allocation

Match crew skills, size, availability, and job dependencies to the planned site work.

_Illustration: Skedulo Tempo comparing three technicians' afternoons inside Dana's window, 2:00 - 5:00 PM, to cover JOB-4841: at the booked 2:30 PM every lane is on a job - Gloria Benitez on an inverter swap until 3:30, Aaron Feldman on a rooftop install until 5:00, Bridget Hanley on a retrofit, then finished for the day. JOB-4841 lands in Gloria's lane at 3:45 PM: no one is free at 2:30, Gloria is from 3:30, so 3:45 keeps Dana's window, and Aaron isn't free until 5:00._

_[ 04 ]_

### Progress from the field

Capture mobile forms, photos, safety checks, and status updates on site.

_Illustration: Skedulo mobile on an iPhone on a hatched ground: Gloria Benitez's annual system inspection, JOB-4803 for Sunline Energy Co-op. The status turns In progress at 4:09 pm, the roof anchor photo lands as evidence beside the permit, the site checklist comes back Pass with Actions with one failed check on AST-1152, and Submit checklist sends it at 5:16 pm._

_[ 05 ]_

### Delays and revised assignments

Review which crews and jobs depend on delayed work, then adjust their assignments and dates.

_Illustration: A Skedulo panel on a hatched ground: JOB-4803's completion checks run when the site checklist is submitted at 5:16 PM - required steps 5 of 5, 2 photos, permit PTW-2026-0884 recorded, the site owner's sign-off by Helen Pryor - and the DC isolator check on AST-1152 fails. The exception is routed to Wade Brennan by the Failed check follow-up workflow, approved at 5:18 PM, and JOB-4871 is created to replace the DC isolator; the job is clear to complete._

### Project closeout

Completion records, open punch-list items and review status can pass to project, asset and finance systems through integrations.

Export opens a menu - Download CSV, Download PDF, Schedule email report - and Schedule email report is picked: a dialog over the dimmed app with Format PDF, Send weekly on Monday at 7:00 AM, and Dana Pruitt and Wade Brennan added to To. Save is pressed and a green notice confirms the weekly report is scheduled: Mondays, 7:00 AM, to Dana and Wade_

## Ask Tempo about the crew plan.

Review assignments, investigate a delay or follow up on open work with Tempo. It uses your connected project records and the actions enabled for your team.

[Meet Tempo](https://www.skedulo.com/product/tempo/)

_Illustration: Skedulo Tempo re-sequencing a commercial rooftop solar job around the wind: gusts to 34 miles an hour are forecast at the Summit Corp warehouse tomorrow, and the crane booked to lift the modules to the roof won't lift over 20. The issue lands in amber on a blank screen and becomes the task's header; Tempo reads the forecast, the crane company and the job sequence, and the context panel opens on Thursday's site weather and the rooftop's phase plan. Tempo keeps both crews working; once started, it moves the lift to Friday at 6:00 AM, swaps Thursday's crews and emails the site contact, Tomas Berg_

## Project detail for planners and field crews.

### Sites, zones and phases

Extend job records with the site details and project fields your crews and planners need.

_Illustration: A Skedulo configuration card for Location, a standard object: its fields as rows, Name and Address, then the dashed Add field row is pressed and becomes a new field - Gate code typed in, set to Text and tagged Custom. Under it, the Location block on JOB-4803's job page gains a line: Gate code 4417, marked as a custom field._

### Crews and dependencies

Plan crew skills and size against job requirements. Link dependent visits to reflect the order of the work.

_Illustration: A Skedulo card of the technicians on job #4809, 3 of 4 filled: the crew leader, Aaron Feldman, tagged Crew leader and Dispatched, and two members - Andre Bassett, Dispatched, and Brooke Feeney, Confirmed._

### Safety checks on Mobile

Capture safety checks and photo evidence in the field.

_Illustration: Skedulo mobile pre-start safety form card: under Hazards present, Unprotected roof edge is ticked and tagged CRITICAL while Overhead power lines stays clear; a dashed section opens with the required controls - harness on a rated anchor and an exclusion zone below the edge - each ticked in turn, and the amber note to confirm both turns green: confirmed, work can start_

### Punch-list follow-up

Build workflows that turn findings into assigned tasks, with due dates and review steps before closeout.

_Illustration: Small Skedulo automation builder card, Failed check follow-up, Draft: of three trigger kinds - Record change, Time and Recurring - Record change is picked, the trigger Site checklist submitted lands, and its edge draws down to the IF it checks, Any check failed, Then: Create a follow-up job. The card turns Active and a first run checks both steps green_

### Revised crew plans

See the affected assignments and dependent jobs when access, weather or unfinished work changes the schedule.

_Illustration: Skedulo schedule card for Wed 13 Aug: Gloria Benitez's afternoon from 1 to 5:30 PM, and JOB-4821 on her lane turns rose, at risk. Tempo's recommendation lands under it - Gloria is running late to JOB-4821, move it to 2:30 PM - and the job slides to 2:30 PM, marked as the proposal; Mark Doherty approves and it settles there. Then Mastermind's recommendation lands: tomorrow's routes optimized, 51 minutes of travel cut for each technician_

## See how ADT Solar scaled appointment scheduling.

- **Before**
  - Manual scheduling across spreadsheets, emails, calls.
  - Reps limited to about 3 appointments a day.
- **With Skedulo**
  - Automated, optimized scheduling by tier and skill.
  - Reps can adjust schedules live from the field.
- **Outcome**
  - Average daily appointments doubled, from 3 to 6.
  - Booked appointments grew more than 1,000%.

> With Skedulo, we can play 5D chess! Our original goal of 800 appointments per week has grown to 1600 per day.… Before Skedulo we struggled to get 800! This is a growth of over 1000% even during the struggles of a global pandemic.
>
> — Kat Carroll, Program Manager, ADT Solar

- **1000%+** — growth in booked appointments, even through the pandemic

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Can Skedulo coordinate multiple solar crews across one site?

Yes. Site, zone and phase details sit on each job, crews are matched by skill and size, and job dependencies sequence each phase after the work it depends on. Scheduling a visit doesn't confirm site readiness or authorize work; your project and safety processes still do that.

### Can Skedulo support solar inspections and punch lists?

Teams can set up automations that turn inspection findings and punch-list items into owned tasks with due dates. The evidence and review status stay with the work until closeout, so open items stay visible instead of sitting in a spreadsheet.

### Can Skedulo capture mobile site evidence?

Yes. Crews complete safety checklists and capture photos, notes and required fields on mobile during site work. A form can be required before a job can be marked complete, and the record goes to project and asset systems through integrations.

### What happens to the crew plan when weather or access stops work on a site?

Check affected crews and dependent jobs, then revise assignments and dates. Tempo can help review options using the records available in your setup. Project and safety teams decide whether other work can proceed.

### Can Skedulo connect project data to ERP, asset, and safety systems?

Yes. Integrations and APIs connect field work with project management, ERP, asset management and EHS systems. What's shared depends on the integration you configure, usually completed work, open punch-list items and review status.
