_Skedulo Integration & APIs_

Bring customer, worker, and work data into Skedulo. Use APIs and events to send updates back to your CRM, HR, payroll, and other business systems.

## APIs, events, and custom logic.

_Query_

### GraphQL

Read, create, and update standard and custom records, including the relationships between them.

_Illustration: A Skedulo API console card: a GraphQL query for JOB-4803 is typed - its name, its location's Gate code and its permits - and sent to graphql/graphql. Its answer replaces it, 200 in 198 milliseconds: JOB-4803, Gate code 4417 marked Custom field, permit PTW-2026-0884 expiring 15 August marked Custom object._

_Services_

### REST

Use REST APIs for platform services such as authentication, notifications, configuration, and scheduling optimization.

_Illustration: A Skedulo API console card: POST notifications/dispatch with JOB-4803's identifier is sent and answered 200 in 286 milliseconds, and the job, Quarterly site inspection with Gloria Benitez, turns from Pending dispatch to Dispatched: Gloria Benitez notified on her phone._

_Respond_

### Events & Functions

Respond to record changes with triggered actions and webhooks. Add custom server-side logic with functions.

_Illustration: A Skedulo real-time event card, Salesforce to Skedulo, Real time: work order 00012345 created in Salesforce at 9:12 AM, WorkOrderTrigger published the event, Work Orders to Jobs ran in real time in 0.8 seconds, and JOB-4803 created._

_Control_

### Access controls

Use roles, permissions, and record access policies to control the data and actions available to an integration.

_Illustration: A Skedulo record access card for the Salesforce integration's user, integration@denvermetro.example, signed in with OAuth 2.0. Policy: Salesforce records only. Jobs can be read, created and updated, never deleted. Test access runs as the integration user: JOB-4803, from work order 00012345, is visible; JOB-4871, created by a workflow, and JOB-4892, booked online, are hidden - 1 of 3 jobs visible._

_Architecture_

## Part of your business systems.

Your CRM can own the customer record while Skedulo manages the work. Integrations exchange the details each system needs, with a defined source for each record.

Bring customer, worker, asset, and work details from your business systems into Skedulo for scheduling, coordination, and mobile work. Send completion updates, captured evidence, and approved time back through integrations to service, finance, payroll, or reporting systems. Exchange only the records each workflow needs.

_GraphQL & REST APIs_

## APIs for your data and applications.

Create and update jobs, check worker availability, send notifications, and run scheduling optimization through Skedulo APIs.

Use GraphQL to retrieve related records in one query and select only the fields your integration needs. Custom objects and fields are part of the schema, so your business-specific data can be included. Use REST endpoints to call platform services such as notifications and optimization.

_Events & Functions_

## Event-driven integrations.

Triggered actions and webhooks can respond to record changes, so an update in Skedulo can start a process in another system.

Set the conditions for a response, then call another system or send an SMS through a triggered action. Include relevant current and previous record values in the request. Use functions to run custom validation, transform data, or route follow-up work.

_Illustration: A Skedulo triggered action, Job completed, Active, on a hatched ground. Its trigger watches jobs for JobStatus changing to Complete: JOB-4803, Quarterly site inspection, turns from In progress to Complete at 5:21 PM - condition met. The function completion-report runs and adds the work order, 00012345, and the status Completed to the payload. The webhook posts it to Salesforce: the first attempt gets 503 Service unavailable and is retried automatically; attempt 2 of 3 is delivered, 200, at 5:21:33 PM._

_Mapping & custom data_

## Shared records, different schemas.

Customer IDs, job statuses and pay codes can differ between systems. Integration mappings translate those values and match the records they belong to.

Use unique external IDs to match records and determine whether to create or update them. Translate statuses, job types, and pay codes between systems, and normalize dates, time zones, and units in your integration. Include custom objects and fields for data specific to your operation.

_Illustration: A Skedulo data flow editor on a hatched ground: Salesforce Work Orders → Skedulo Jobs, Work Orders to Jobs, matched by WorkOrderNumber = ExternalId - a job with the same ExternalId is updated, or a new one is created. Auto map is pressed and five field mappings land: the work order number, the account by a lookup to Accounts, the address from Street and City, the status and the start date. Then Add translation lands Status → Job status: New becomes Pending Allocation, Scheduled Dispatched, Completed Complete, Canceled Cancelled._

_Reliability & operations_

## Logs, retries and recovery.

Skedulo automatically retries failed triggered actions and webhooks within defined limits. Use execution logs to investigate requests and responses.

Build checks into your integration to confirm that the destination processed an update. Define how to resend missed updates, compare records across systems, and assign an owner when recovery needs attention.

_Security & governance_

## Permission-controlled API access.

Authenticate API requests and configure permissions for the identity each integration uses.

On Pulse Platform, use record access policies to filter the records available to users subject to those policies. Test access rules outside production, review sensitive data with your security team, and assign responsibility for maintaining and retiring the connection.

_Custom integration delivery_

## Build with your team or ours.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### What integration options does Skedulo provide?

Skedulo offers integrations for business systems alongside GraphQL and REST APIs for custom connections. Triggered actions, webhooks, and server-side functions support workflows that respond to changes and exchange data between systems.

### What is the difference between GraphQL and the Skedulo REST API?

GraphQL lets developers read, create, and update standard and custom records, including related data in a single query. REST APIs provide access to platform services such as authentication, notifications, configuration, and scheduling optimization. An integration can use both.

### Can Skedulo connect to a proprietary or legacy system?

Yes, where the other system provides a suitable way to exchange data. Your developers, Skedulo professional services, or an implementation partner can build the connection using APIs and custom integration logic. The approach depends on the system’s interfaces and the workflow you need.

### Can an integration use custom objects and fields?

Yes. Custom objects and fields defined in Pulse Platform are included in its GraphQL schema. Integrations can query and update those records alongside standard objects, including relationships between them.

### How can Skedulo respond when operational data changes?

Triggered actions and webhooks can respond when tracked records are created, updated, or deleted. Configure the conditions and data for the response. Triggered actions can call another system or send an SMS, while functions add custom validation, transformation, or routing.

### How does Skedulo secure API access?

API requests use access tokens. Access depends on the identity and permissions used by the integration. On Pulse Platform, record access policies can further restrict record access for users subject to those policies.

### Does Skedulo provide monitoring, retry, replay, and reconciliation?

Skedulo provides execution logs and automatic retries within defined limits for triggered actions and webhooks. End-to-end monitoring, replay of missed updates, and reconciliation between systems need to be addressed in the integration design. Your delivery team defines which system or tool handles each control.

### How do I find an integration for my system?

Explore Skedulo’s integrations directory for featured systems, or speak with an integration expert about your requirements. Confirm the available data flows, setup, and support for your system. If a packaged connection isn’t available, the team can assess a custom integration.
