# Optimization extension: Flexible scheduler

The Flexible scheduler exension enables precise job scheduling with configurable time windows and day-specific rules when optimizing schedules.

We’re introducing the **Flexible scheduler**, a new Optimization extension that gives businesses enhanced control over job scheduling. Designed for time-sensitive and operationally complex workflows, this extension empowers organizations to configure precise scheduling rules tailored to their unique operational needs.

The Flexible scheduler is a pre-packaged solution built on Skedulo’s Optimization framework.

**Key features**

- **Precise timeframes**: Schedule jobs within specific time windows, such as “before 5 PM” or “between 1 PM and 3 PM”.
- **Day-Specific constraints**: Restrict scheduling to particular days, like Thursdays and Fridays.
