# Page builder: Improved layouts and create flows

Gain more control over your designs in the Page Builder. We’ve made it easier to arrange components with the Layout Container, and upgraded the Create Field Layout component to support new ‘After Submit’ actions and default field value templates.

**Page builder open beta**

The Page builder feature is currently in “open beta” to learn more please refer to the [documentation](https://docs.skedulo.com/user-guides/admin-and-config/admin-and-config-webapp/page-builder/open-beta/learn/). We’ve been listening to feedback from our beta users, and have several improvements to announce.

**Layout container component**

The layout container component can be used to build more sophisticated page layouts, where you want to control the flow, alignment, and spacing of nested components.

**Create field layout – After submit actions**

The create field layout component has been updated to allow you to choose what happens after the record has been created. The “After submit” has new options:

- Navigate to new record
- Navigate to list
- Refresh current page

**Create field layout – Templates in default field values**

You can now use templates that reference page context, such as other fields, within the “Default value” property of a field in the Create field layout component.

A good example that illustrates how to use this is the creation of a Contact from an Account record that the contact belongs to. If you configure a “Modal launcher” component to show the create field layout for the contact, you can now configure the Account field to default to the ID of the Account the user is looking at.
