# Teams and Crews scheduling now available for early access (Beta)

Teams and Crews is a new scheduling capability that makes scheduling groups of resources who work together during the day simple and easy.

​The Teams & Crews extension is ideal for scenarios where:

- A group of resources will work together as a long-lived team for a period of time (eg. Weeks or Months)
- The team or crew meet together at one location in the morning (eg. a depot) and travel together all day from job to job

Using this extension your schedulers can:

- View and manage your schedule by Team as well as individual Resources
- Assign groups of individual Resources (People and Assets) to Teams for defined periods of time
- Define the availability, skills and capabilities of a Team and match work to the Team based on these characteristics
- Allocate, manage, dispatch and optimize work for Teams as well individual Resources, saving you valuable time
- Assign a Team Leader who can update the status of work on behalf of the whole team working together in the field
