_One Installation Operation_

## From a home installation to a regional rollout.

Schedule a single visit or coordinate work across sites and stages. Keep the crew requirements, prerequisites and service records with each installation.

### Home installation

Coordinate the appointment, site access, crew, and equipment. Record installation results and any required sign-off.

_Illustration: Skedulo mobile job completion page on an iPhone for JOB-4803: the work completed is typed in, two materials land in the list - a heavy duty door closer and a lockout tag and padlock - above the follow-up job the visit raised, JOB-4871 for Aaron Feldman, and the homeowner signature from Helen Pryor lands. Complete job turns from grey to green, is pressed, and becomes a green notice: the job was completed at 5:21pm._

### Multi-stage site installation

Coordinate surveys, deliveries, crews, inspections, and handover across stages, accounting for recorded dependencies and permit requirements.

_Illustration: Skedulo mobile handover page on an iPhone for JOB-4803, to Aaron Feldman: under Completed, the site checklist submitted and signed, then two open tasks with their owners - replace the isolator on AST-1152 (Aaron Feldman, JOB-4871, Friday 15 August) and close out the permit before it expires (Helen Pryor). A two-line handover note is typed, and Send handover becomes a green notice: sent to Aaron Feldman at 5:24pm._

### Network or territory rollout

Apply repeatable assignment and reporting workflows across locations, adapting crew and route plans to local requirements.

_Illustration: Skedulo map of north-east Denver, the North and Central regions tinted either side of I-70, a technician in each, and Wade Brennan's afternoon in North drawn on it: two numbered stops, the dashed drives marked 9 and 7 min. Beside it a Regions card: North, Central and South in Denver at 2:14 PM MDT, and Kansas City, an hour ahead at 3:14 PM CDT. Under it his afternoon: a furnace repair, a rooftop unit service at 2:30, a thermostat install at 3:45._

_Tempo_

## Tempo, alongside installation coordinators.

Review upcoming installations, ask about missing requirements and prepare updates with Tempo. The records, actions and approvals available depend on your setup.

[Meet Tempo](https://www.skedulo.com/product/tempo/)

### Permit missing

A required permit is still outstanding. Check the status with the responsible person before sending the crew.

_Illustration: Skedulo Tempo working a storm warning from its issue: lightning and hail from 2:00 to 5:00 PM put three rooftop jobs at risk. The warning lands in red and becomes the task's header; Tempo reads the forecast, the rooftop work and the indoor work waiting. The panel opens on the storm hour by hour and the rooftop jobs for Curtis Mensah and Hoa Pham. Once the dispatcher starts the plan, Tempo moves the rooftop jobs to a clear Thursday morning, fills the afternoon with indoor work, and tells the customers and the crew_

### Crew member unavailable

Prepare replacement options against the crew role, qualifications, and available time.

_Illustration: Skedulo Tempo working a call-out beside the dispatcher: Doug Lindqvist is unavailable from 1:30 PM and JOB-4841, a thermostat and damper check, has no one on it. Tempo reads the absence, the job and who can cover, asks whether Dana Whitfield can take a later arrival, and puts forward reassigning JOB-4841 to Gloria Benitez, HVAC certified and 0.8 mi away, arriving 3:45 - 4:15 PM, its Context panel holding the absence, the job and the plan. Once accepted it checks her route, reassigns the job, texts Dana and closes with a session summary_

### Equipment not staged

The equipment is not ready. Follow up with the owner and review the crew's appointment.

_Illustration: Skedulo Tempo following up from its issue: Hector Salinas hasn't answered the offer for JOB-4855, a Thursday early start. The issue becomes the task's header; Tempo reads the open offers and today's timing, and the context panel opens on what is still waiting - two Thursday offers, Hoa Pham double-booked around JOB-4858, four jobs to allocate next week. Once the dispatcher starts the plan, Tempo texts Hector, who accepts, offers JOB-4857 to Curtis Mensah, who accepts, and moves JOB-4863 to clear Hoa's overlap_

### Site access unconfirmed

The customer has not confirmed access. Arrange a follow-up before the crew sets out.

_Illustration: Skedulo Tempo working a late technician from its issue: travel tracking flags Gloria Benitez, whose drive to JOB-4821 at Pioneer Health Systems now arrives at 2:34 PM after a crash on Interstate 25, past the 2:00 - 2:30 PM window. The issue becomes the task's header; Tempo reads where she is, times routes and reads the job. The panel opens on her drive and the job's map, and Tempo picks Santa Fe Drive, 22 minutes sooner. Once the dispatcher starts the plan, Tempo sends Gloria the route, texts Helen Pryor and checks her 4:00 PM holds_

## Frequently Asked Questions

### What is installation scheduling software?

Installation scheduling software coordinates everything an install depends on: site readiness, permits, crews with the right roles, equipment and the customer's appointment window. It then gives crews the instructions on site and records test results, sign-off and anything left to finish. Skedulo handles single home installs, multi-stage site projects and rollouts across many locations.

### How does Skedulo help telecom and fiber installation crews?

For network or territory rollouts, Skedulo applies the same assignment and reporting workflow at every location, while crew and route plans adapt to local requirements. Customers can choose from approved appointment windows. On site, installers record photos, serial numbers, test results and signatures, and the record is shared with CRM, billing and asset systems through integrations.

### How does Skedulo help solar and energy installation crews?

Keep surveys, installation work, inspections, and handover connected through scheduled jobs and their dependencies. Record permit and equipment information for coordinators to review, and capture commissioning results and outstanding work on Mobile.

### Can Skedulo schedule multi-person installation crews?

Yes. Configure the crew roles and resource requirements for each installation, and Skedulo schedules the people and equipment together. It checks each crew member's skills, credentials, availability and location against the install, and keeps the install's dependencies with the crew assignment.

### Can Skedulo check whether an installation is ready?

Skedulo can use recorded requirements, workflow status, and connected data to flag missing information. Coordinators can resolve the gaps or revise the assignment before dispatch.

### What makes installation scheduling different from regular field service scheduling?

An installation may need several visits, crew roles, and prerequisites before the final handover. Plan those dependencies with the assignments, then record test results, sign-off, and anything still to finish.
