We've expanded our job dependency feature to provide more flexibility in scheduling and managing job sequences. This update introduces a variety of new dependency scenarios, allowing for comprehensive and precise planning.
Job dependency functionality now supports 12 distinct scenarios, significantly expanding the conditions under which jobs can be linked. These new scenarios include conditions where a job must start or end before, after, or simultaneously with another job's start or end.
- The job cards on the console pages feature a icon indicating job dependencies. This icon helps schedulers quickly identify dependent relationships and any issues arising from them.
- Swimlane Displays: If a job's scheduling conflicts with its dependencies, a conflict icon will appear, alerting schedulers to adjust the job timing accordingly.Job dependencies are available as a beta feature.
- To enable, navigate to Settings > Beta Features and select "Enable Job Dependencies."
This update is designed to make scheduling more intuitive and effective, providing our users with the tools they need to ensure smooth operation and coordination across various job tasks.
Please note, we are planning to introduce additional time-constrained scenarios soon to further enhance this feature.
