What’s New

Get Costing and Costed Roster Function Enhancements

Following the releases of version V1.57 and V2.1 that allow the schedulers to report on the costs and violations of current active rosters and to estimate/report on the costs of a base template, some enhancements have been made to further improve the feature.

Sending Break Details

  • Break details (e.g: sleepover, meal break) captured in Jobs are currently synched into Shifts or Leave Shifts as part of the Shift/Leave Shift creation on Easy Employer integration package (see release version V1.50 for more details).
  • The break details that are available in Shifts and Leave Shifts are now sent over to Easy Employer as part of the get costing and costed roster functions, ensuring Easy Employer has sufficient inputs for consideration and calculation.

Sending Additional Leave Shifts Information

  • The Easy Employer API end point requires additional Leave Shifts information, which are paid and leave_type_id. These two parameters are now sent to Easy Employer as part of the get costing and costed roster functions, ensuring Easy Employer has sufficient inputs for consideration and calculation.
  • Paid and leave_type_id are captured against the Availability records upon creation. They are associated with the leave types maintained in Easy Employer and returned to Skedulo for selection when creating Availability records.
  • There are two flows whereby resources or schedulers are able to submit an Availability or Unavailability record:
    • Via Leave Management form in Skedulo Plus mobile app:
      • In order to install the form in your org, please contact your CSM or Tech Support or to [email protected] if requiring assistance
    • Via Create Leave Request modal in Salesforce:
      • Go to Setup > Custom Metadata Types > Healthcare Settings > update the value of Is_Leave_Request_Enabled to True (default is False)
      • Use any consoles, choose Add Leave Request option to add
  • Important Notes:
    • Only use the Leave Management form and Create Leave Request modal to submit Availability records if available Leave Types need to refer to the lists maintained in Easy Employer, otherwise continue using the standard Add Availability modal in Salesforce or the standard Create Availability feature in Skedulo Plus app.

Enhancing Logic Calculating Final Costs

  • In the Job Allocation modal, when get costing function is triggered:
    • The Total cost displayed is now referred to a new field, calculated_cost, in this Easy Employer API end point. Calculated_cost holds the final total costs of all cost components and is calculated by Easy Employer before returning to Skedulo.
    • The Normal cost displayed is the total of all cost components with type equal to "Normal" or "Allowance"
    • The OT cost display is the total of all cost components with type equal to "OT"
  • In the Costed Roster function, only the final total cost returned in the calculated_costfield is captured.
