Announcement of Release Cycle Change

We are excited to announce an important change to our product release cycle, aimed at improving our delivery process and to better align with your needs.

New Release Cycle Structure:

Effective after this July release—the last of our current monthly releases—we will transition to a quarterly release cycle. The new structure is as follows:

  • Quarterly Major Releases: At the end of each quarter, we will roll out a major release. This will include significant updates, new features, and comprehensive improvements. Release notes and video demos (where applicable) will be available as part of this process.
  • Monthly Minor Releases: While our primary focus will be on the quarterly major releases, we will continue to support monthly minor releases. These will be available on a per-request basis and will address urgent specific customer requests or critical issue fixes.

Scope of Change:

This change will affect all our Australian Healthcare Salesforce managed packages, including Aged Care and Disability, Healthcare Lumary, and Award Interpretation packages such as Easy Employer, 2Cloud9, and Employment Hero (formerly KeyPay).

Why the Change?

  • Quality and Stability: By focusing on quarterly major releases, we can dedicate more time to testing and refining each update, ensuring higher quality and greater stability for our products.
  • Innovative Features: This new cycle allows us to develop and introduce more innovative features and enhancements that add significant value to your business operations.
  • Increased Time for Upgrade and Testing: We understand that some customers have struggled to keep up with monthly releases due to availability of dedicated testing resources and change management implications. Transitioning to a quarterly release schedule will provide additional time to effectively upgrade and manage updates.

Verify Email Addresses to Meet the Email Verification Requirement

To complete enforcement of the email verification requirement introduced in the Spring ’22 major release, Salesforce now requires all users in all orgs and Experience Cloud sites to verify their email address. If a user sends an email from an unverified email address, Salesforce rejects this email message and doesn’t complete the send. Unverified email addresses can’t be used for sends until the user verifies their email address or resets their password. To avoid disruptions, ensure that all user email addresses are verified.

What’s New

Scheduling Console - Customisable Display Fields on Job Cards

On the Scheduling Console, the display fields on the job cards can now be customised.

Fields such as Contact Name can now be displayed instead of being fixed to Job Type (Single Booking).

How to set up?

To configure the display field on job card:

  • Go to Setup
  • Find and open Custom Settings
  • Manage records of Skedulo Healthcare Scheduling Settings
  • Find and edit settings:
    • Single_Booking_Card_Description: used to define the fields shown in the single bookingJob Card. Fields from Jobs, Job Allocation and Contact objects are supported. Prefix the fields with ‘job.’, ‘contact.’ to represent the object (fields from Job Allocation do not need to have a prefix). The default value is job.sked__Type__c.
    • Group_Event_Booking_Card_Description: used to define the fields shown in the group event Job Card. Fields from Jobs and Job Allocation objects are supported. Prefix the fields with ‘job.’’ to represent the object (fields from Job Allocation do not need to have a prefix). The default value is job.sked__Type__c.

Due to the limited spacing, above two settings only support one field to be configured and displayed at a time.

Default display is always the job types (Single Booking or Group Event).

Capturing URLs on Additional Fields

The field type URL has now been supported on the Additional Fields feature.

Click on the link icon to open the URL in a separate web browser tab.

When is a URL field type typically used?

The feature supports Telehealth use cases. A Telehealth appointment allows Resources to provide consultation via phone or via video call.

URLs such as virtual meetings or online video calls can be attached to the additional fields of jobs.

How to set up?

Similar to configuring any additional fields:

  • Go to Setup
  • Find and open Custom Settings
  • Manage records of Skedulo Additional Fields
  • Add new or edit a record
  • Set Field Type to value URL

The URL field type should work on any types of Categories that are currently supported.

Balance Check to support Ratio on Replication and Validation processes

When replicating or validating group event jobs via the Scheduling Console or Resource Roster Console, the balance check results that are displayed in the email notifications now take into account the Event Delivery Ratio in order to accurately inform schedulers in case of any balance conflicts.

Example

If the ratio of a line item is 1:4, the balance check will apply for one fourth of the full service rate, then determine whether the remaining has been exceeded.

Balance check when creating jobs

This feature was implemented and delivered for the job creation process in the previous release. Read more here.

Making Notes field required when cancelling Jobs

The Notes field can now be made required when cancelling jobs.

Image

Use case

In some cases the scheduling teams require details rather than only the cancellation reason selected from the dropdown.

Impact areas

The Notes fields can be made required when cancelling jobs from below areas:

  1. Scheduling Console
  2. Resource Roster Console

Cancelling recurring jobs from the consoles above, read more here.

How to set up?

  • Go to Setup
  • Find and open Custom Settings
  • Manage records of Skedulo Configs
  • Find and edit setting Require_Note_Cancel_Job
  • Update value to True (to make the field required), False (to keep the field optional). False is the default value.

Issues Fixed

  • The issue has been fixed whereby when updating the clients or job service items of group event jobs, then applying to all, the billable flags on jobs unexpectedly changed the value.
  • The issue has been fixed whereby the error "Aggregate query has too many rows for direct assignment error" was thrown when attempting to create a long recurring period of Client Availability.
