Skedulo’s Newest Product Release is Here!

Here’s a roundup of the latest innovations, hot off the press from the Skedulo Product team.

We’ve been inspired by the customer reaction to the launch of new features we introduced in April and July. The response has been tremendous and we’ve seen firsthand how our customers are using the new features to drive increased productivity and efficiency in their businesses.

With this launch we’re taking it a step further. We’re introducing new ways our customers can build on and extend the capabilities of Skedulo and the Skedulo Plus Mobile App. With these updates, you’ll find it easier to configure and customize solutions, so that you can unlock more value and tailor experiences for your specific needs.

All New Developer Experience

Introducing the Skedulo Command Line Interface (CLI)

Play

We’re introducing the Skedulo CLI (Command Line Interface), a simple tool that helps developers build, test and deploy custom solutions faster than ever before. This means fewer errors, easier code maintenance, and more consistency in using Skedulo best practices–all while speeding up the development process and improving time to value.

Custom Actions

We’re introducing a framework for creating custom actions that can be used anywhere in the web app. Whether your team needs to make single or bulk changes to records, create new job or task workflows, or integrate business processes with other systems–this framework makes it possible, allowing for seamless workflow improvements.

Optimization Extension Framework

Play

This new framework gives developers the power to customize how our scheduling engine allocates resources. Developers can now write custom logic to meet specific business needs and deploy these as optimization “recipes” that your scheduling teams can use directly in the web app. For example, let’s say you need to ensure you have the same team of resources working together across multiple different jobs. The optimization framework allows you to build a new “recipe” that factors in things like job dependencies and the need for continuity when optimizing your schedule.

Enhanced Configurability of the Skedulo Plus Mobile App

Customizable Job Details

Play

We’re making it easier to customize the layout of job details within the Skedulo Plus Mobile App.  With new, code-free configuration options, you can easily adjust the job details layout to suit the specific needs of your field teams. This flexibility allows you to show only the most relevant information, increasing clarity and efficiency for your team. For instance, if certain jobs don’t require notes or signatures, you can simply remove these sections—keeping the focus on what matters for each job or service.

Skedulo Plus Extensions

New Mobile Forms

Play

We’re rolling out several new mobile extensions, including a follow-up job creation form, self-scheduling options, and a create-job form. In addition, we’ve added new features to our Mobile Extension Framework, giving developers even more flexibility to create custom mobile workflows quickly and efficiently. These updates include new UI components, customizable save buttons and toast messages, and dynamic layouts—all supported by the Skedulo CLI.

Enhancements to the Scheduling Experience

Play

We’ve recently released a number of new enhancements to the scheduling experience based on customer feedback. These updates bring greater control, efficiency and ease to your scheduling processes.

Managing Work in Bulk

  • Multi-Select Mode: With the new multi-select mode in the Pulse Scheduling Experience Swimlane, schedulers can now select multiple jobs at once, enabling bulk actions that save time and reduce repetitive tasks.
  • Flexible “Move” Action: A new “Move” action let’s schedulers quickly reschedule one or multiple jobs, with options to adjust by minutes, hours, days, or even weeks–keeping schedules adaptable and responsive.
  • Create Multiple Job Duplicates Instantly: The updated duplicate job feature now supports creating multiple job duplicates at once, making it faster to set up recurring tasks.

Expanded Configuration and Control

  • Configurable Scheduled Job Calculations: Schedulers can now define the criteria used to calculate resource scheduled hours within the swimlane, offering tailored insights to suit specific operational needs.

Enhanced Swimlane Worklist

  • Adjustable Worklist Height: The Pulse Scheduling Swimlane’s Worklist is now resizable, allowing schedulers to expand or reduce its height to view more or less information as needed, boosting convenience and visibility.
  • Adding Job Time Constraints: With simple configuration, you’re now able to view job time constraints in the worklist column, making it easier to manage and adjust schedules.
